What Is Motability

Motability is an organization set up to help people who receive the Higher Mobility Component (HMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplements purchase a new car. The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to obtain a car by using their government-funded mobility allowances. Customers exchange their Higher Rate Mobility Allowance for a worry-free mobility package.

No matter how old you are or, if you receive the HMC off the DLA (Disabled Living Allowance) then you or someone else in the family, or a guardian, can be nominated as drivers. Don't forget, even if you don't drive you can apply for a car as a passenger and propose two other suitable people as drivers.

With the Motability Scheme at John Banks Group, getting a new car is easier and more affordable than ever before. As Accredited fully trained Motability specialists, our aim is to help disabled people become more mobile at the lowest possible cost by helping provide them with affordable, reliable transport. The Motability scheme with John Banks Group enables disabled people to obtain a car simply by using their government-funded mobility allowances. Customers are able to exchange their allowance for a hassle free mobility package that may include:
