APPRENTICE TO RACER...
John Banks Group and their Motorcycle Apprentice Technician James Dutton partner up in pursuit of the British Junior Supersport 500cc Class for the 2019 season, kicking off at Silverstone this weekend!
James has been working at John Banks Motorcycles in Bury St Edmunds as an Apprentice Motorcycle Technician since June 2018, always having a great passion for racing bikes. Last year James competed in the Kawasaki Ninja Cup, so this is a great step up for him.
HONDA UK alongside Honda Racing's Havier Beltran have built a brand new 2019 CBR500R for James to compete in the Junior Supersport Class along with sending him to Italy for a brand-new set of bespoke Vircos leathers.
"This is such a great opportunity for me, I can’t thank everyone who has helped me enough, I am excited to get racing" said James.
"This opportunity for James is really amazing, to be able to be a technician is one thing but, to be good enough to race as well is almost unheard of, to go from an Apprentice to a Racer. John Banks Group being part of helping James achieve his dream is what it’s all about” said Mark Banks (Managing Director, John Banks Group)
We will be following James' Season as it progresses with his training, in conjunction with Honda UK and stories of James on a day to day basis as Apprentice technician.
Good Luck James, From all at John Banks Group.
