John Banks Group Satisfaction Guarantee

At John Banks Group, customer satisfaction is central to everything we do. We are committed to supplying quality vehicles, motorcycles, products, repairs, servicing, and aftersales support backed by manufacturer standards, transparent policies, and professional customer care.

This Satisfaction Guarantee should be read alongside our Vehicle Sales Terms & Conditions, Consumer Aftersales Terms & Conditions, and Business-to-Business Aftersales Terms & Conditions.

New Vehicle Purchases

All new vehicles supplied by John Banks Group are covered by the respective manufacturer warranty and guarantee applicable at the time of purchase. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms, servicing requirements, maintenance schedules, and exclusions.

John Banks Group will use its best endeavours to support customers throughout the manufacturer warranty period and to carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer repair procedures and approved parts policies.

Where manufacturer warranty repairs are required, delays may occasionally occur due to parts availability, supplier delays, manufacturer approval processes, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Used Vehicle Guarantee

All eligible used cars supplied by John Banks Group include a minimum 12-month guarantee, together with the benefit of any remaining manufacturer warranty where applicable.

All eligible used motorcycles supplied by John Banks Group include a 6-month guarantee.

Guarantee cover is subject to the terms, claim limits, servicing requirements, mileage conditions, exclusions, and maintenance obligations set out within the guarantee documentation supplied at handover.

The guarantee does not cover failures arising from misuse, neglect, modifications, racing, commercial misuse, failure to maintain the vehicle in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, or fair wear and tear.

Extended Guarantee Products

For additional peace of mind, customers may purchase an extended guarantee product either:

  • At the point of purchase; or

  • At any time within one month of delivery of an eligible used vehicle.

Extended guarantees are subject to eligibility criteria including vehicle age, mileage, servicing history, and provider underwriting requirements. Separate policy terms and conditions apply.

Parts, Repairs & Servicing Guarantee

All servicing, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, and associated aftersales work carried out by John Banks Group are performed using reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable manufacturer standards.

Manufacturer or manufacturer-approved parts will normally be used unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

Consumer Aftersales Warranty

For consumer customers:

  • Workmanship is guaranteed for 1 week or 500 miles, whichever occurs first.

  • Manufacturer supplied parts are covered for 12 months or 10,000 miles unless otherwise stated.

Business Customer Aftersales Warranty

For business customers:

  • Workmanship is warranted for 7 days or 2,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

  • Parts warranties apply in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Warranty claims may be refused where:

  • Manufacturer servicing schedules have not been followed;

  • The vehicle has been modified or misused;

  • The vehicle has been used for racing, testing, or outside normal design limits; or

  • Relevant warranty or service plan information was not disclosed at booking.

Additional Products & Services

Any additional products or services purchased through John Banks Group, including insurance-backed products, cosmetic protection products, service plans, GAP insurance, accessories, and maintenance packages, are supplied subject to the individual provider’s own guarantee terms and conditions.

Full documentation relating to these products will be provided at the point of sale or installation.

Reservations, Deposits & Distance Selling

Reservation deposits may be used to secure vehicles for a limited period, typically 48 hours, subject to availability and management approval.

For fully distance or off-premises sales, eligible consumer customers may benefit from cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. These rights apply only where the contract was concluded entirely at distance without face-to-face contact prior to delivery.

Where applicable:

  • Cancellation rights apply for 14 days from delivery;

  • Vehicle use must not exceed 50 miles;

  • Vehicles must be returned in substantially the same condition supplied;

  • Lawful deductions may apply for damage, excessive use, missing items, mileage, or depreciation.

No statutory cooling-off period applies to vehicles purchased entirely on dealership premises.

Courtesy Vehicles

Courtesy vehicles may be provided subject to availability and separate Courtesy Car Agreements. Eligibility requirements, insurance terms, excess liabilities, and optional Collision Damage Waiver products apply.

Customers remain responsible for:

  • Fuel;

  • Fines and penalties;

  • Any uninsured losses;

  • Damage not covered by the Courtesy Car Agreement.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing within this Satisfaction Guarantee limits or excludes any statutory rights available under applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
