The Role

As a Renault Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every customer receives the highest level of workmanship and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Renault vehicles.

  • Perform advanced fault finding using Renault diagnostic systems and specialist tools.

  • Complete vehicle health checks and electronic reports accurately.

  • Undertake warranty work in line with Renault manufacturer standards.

  • Carry out MOT testing (if qualified), brake repairs, tyre fitting, and air conditioning servicing.

  • Work closely with Service Advisors and the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Support and mentor junior technicians where required.

Hours: Full-Time
Monday–Friday 8:30am–6:00pm | Saturday 9:00am–5:00pm (with one weekday off) No Sunday
Salary: £24,000 Basic + John Banks Group Commission & Bonus Plan

Contract: Permanent - Full time 
Holidays: 22 days + bank holidays (rising to 26 with service)

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Accounts - Bury St Edmunds

Location: Head Office, Bury St Edmunds
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

The Role

Working closely with the wider Accounts team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and coding supplier invoices and credit notes accurately

  • Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving outstanding items

  • Preparing supplier payment runs for authorisation

  • Responding to supplier and internal departmental queries

  • Ensuring invoices are correctly authorised in line with company procedures

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records

  • Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting

  • Supporting the Accounts team with other duties when required

Dealership Accountant - Cambridge

Location: John Banks Group, Swann’s Road, Cambridge
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role

Reporting to the Group Finance team and working closely with the site’s management team, you will take responsibility for the financial control and reporting of the Cambridge dealership operation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines

  • Producing and submitting manufacturer composites and financial reports

  • Reviewing dealership performance against budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators

  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls

  • Monitoring vehicle debtors, creditors, funding, stock and work in progress

  • Reviewing departmental profitability across vehicle sales, aftersales and parts

  • Managing accruals, prepayments, journals and intercompany transactions

  • Supporting VAT returns and ensuring transactions are correctly recorded

  • Reviewing bonus, manufacturer support and warranty income to ensure all amounts are claimed and accounted for

  • Working with departmental managers to investigate variances and improve financial performance

  • Supporting annual budgets, forecasts and year-end audit requirements

  • Ensuring dealership processes comply with Group policies and accounting procedures

  • Identifying financial risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing the complete customer journey from initial enquiry through to handover and aftersales follow-up using the latest technology and AI Assisted packages.

Working with customers both in the showroom and online, you'll demonstrate a consultative approach to selling, helping customers choose the right vehicle and finance solution while ensuring complete compliance throughout every stage of the process.

You'll be selling a constantly changing stock of quality used vehicles from all manufacturers, meaning product knowledge, adaptability and enthusiasm are essential.
