Air Conditioning Servicing
Air Conditioning Servicing at John Banks
Keep your cabin cool, fresh and running efficiently all year round.
Your vehicle’s air conditioning system does much more than keep you comfortable in warm weather. It helps demist your windows, improves air quality and ensures a pleasant driving environment for you and your passengers. Over time, however, AC systems naturally lose gas, filters become less effective and bacteria can build up in the ventilation system.
At John Banks, our manufacturer-approved workshops offer full air conditioning servicing to keep your system performing at its best, whatever the season.
Why Air Conditioning Servicing Matters
✔ Restores Cooling Performance
Refrigerant levels drop by around 10–15% per year, reducing the effectiveness of your AC. A recharge restores optimal cooling.
✔ Improves Cabin Air Quality
Our antibacterial system cleanse removes mould, bacteria and odours that develop in vents and evaporators.
✔ Reduces Fuel Consumption
A correctly charged system runs more efficiently, helping improve overall fuel economy.
✔ Protects Components & Prevents Costly Repairs
Low refrigerant can cause the compressor to work harder and fail prematurely. Regular servicing keeps everything running smoothly.
✔ Helps You Stay Comfortable All Year
Your AC also supports demisting and climate control in winter — so servicing isn’t just for summer.

What Will Happen When You Leave Your Air Conditioning off?
If you leave your air con off for a long period of this, it will become more prone to bacteria build-up, so you may start to notice some suspect smells.
Air-conditioning is the best way to dehumidify, or dry, damp air. With it running, the inside of a car’s windows won’t mist up; switching it off and it could seem as though you’re driving in dense fog.
Equally, using the air-conditioning is a great way of de-misting the car if it steams up when you first get in it on a cold day.
