Honda Showcases Electrification and Motorsport Heritage at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Honda is set to make a spectacular return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed (9–12 July 2026) with an exciting line-up of electrified cars, motorcycles and iconic racing machines that celebrate the brand's commitment to innovation, performance and motorsport.

From the world-first dynamic debut of the Prelude HRC Concept to the return of the legendary Williams Honda FW11 Formula One™ car, Honda's presence at Goodwood highlights how its racing heritage continues to shape the next generation of road vehicles.

World-First Dynamic Debut for Prelude HRC Concept

One of the biggest attractions at this year's Festival will be the Prelude HRC Concept, making its first-ever dynamic appearance on the famous Goodwood Hillclimb.

Inspired by Honda's motorsport expertise and developed with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), the concept showcases how performance-focused engineering can enhance Honda's future electrified sports cars.

The Prelude HRC Concept will be driven by Jessica Hawkins, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team Head of F1™ Academy and Driver Ambassador, with additional demonstration runs from experienced racing driver Tiago Monteiro.

Honda Super-N Demonstrates the Future of Electric Driving

Also making its public dynamic debut is the Honda Super-N, a compact electric vehicle that combines Honda's renowned Kei-car expertise with engaging electric performance.

Designed to deliver enjoyable urban driving, the Super-N features lightweight construction, responsive handling and innovative technology, proving that compact electric cars can be practical, fun and exciting to drive.

Electric Innovation on Two Wheels

Honda's electrification journey extends to motorcycles with the Honda WN7, the brand's first full-size electric motorcycle developed for Europe.

Built around the concept of "Be the Wind", the WN7 delivers instant electric torque while maintaining the balance, refinement and riding enjoyment for which Honda motorcycles are renowned.

Joining it on the Hillclimb will be the striking Honda CB1000F, ridden by three-time World Champion Freddie Spencer. Combining classic styling with modern engineering, the CB1000F pays tribute to Honda's legendary motorcycle heritage while embracing contemporary performance.

Celebrating 40 Years of Formula One Success

Honda's rich motorsport history will also take centre stage with the return of the legendary Williams Honda FW11 Formula One™ car.

Driven by 1996 Formula One World Champion Damon Hill and Japanese racing driver Ryo Michigami, the FW11 celebrates the 40th anniversary of Honda's first FIA Formula One Constructors' Championship, won in 1986.

The iconic racing car remains a symbol of Honda's engineering excellence and the company's philosophy of using motorsport as the ultimate proving ground for future road car technology.

Innovation Inspired by Racing

Honda's display at Goodwood reflects its wider vision for the future, combining:

  • Advanced electrification across cars and motorcycles.

  • Performance developed through motorsport engineering.

  • Technology designed to enhance the joy of driving and riding.

  • A continued commitment to innovation and sustainability.

By bringing together heritage, cutting-edge electric technology and exciting performance, Honda continues to demonstrate why it remains one of the world's leading automotive and motorcycle manufacturers.
