Dacia Brings Drive-In Cinema to Kendal Mountain Festival 2026

Dacia to Make Kendal Mountain Festival Debut with Unique Drive-In Cinema Experience
4 November 2026
Dacia is set to make its debut at the Kendal Mountain Festival this November, bringing a unique drive-in cinema experience to one of the world’s biggest celebrations of outdoor adventure.
Taking place from 19–22 November 2026, the festival will welcome around 25,000 visitors to Kendal for four days of adventure films, inspirational talks, outdoor activities and live entertainment.
As part of its first appearance at the event, Dacia will launch the Dacia Drive-In Cinema, giving festivalgoers the opportunity to enjoy a selection of adventure films from the comfort of a Dacia vehicle.
Located in the car park of the Brewery Arts Centre, the festival’s cultural hub, the cinema will feature ten parked Dacia vehicles, offering an unusual setting in which to experience some of the festival’s inspiring stories.
Adventure Films, Special Guests and Outdoor Experiences
The Dacia Drive-In Cinema will showcase a varied programme of films celebrating exploration, determination and the great outdoors.
Highlights include The Oldest Munro Bagger, A WeTwo Adventure: Planting Seeds Not Flags, featuring adventurers Dwayne Fields and Phoebe Smith, and The Courage To Find Out, featuring Dr Sarah Ruggins.
A selection of family-friendly short films will also be screened, ensuring there is something for visitors of all ages.
Beyond the film programme, the Dacia space will host a range of talks, workshops and interactive activities throughout the festival. Visitors can also look forward to a special 'trailgating' cookout, bringing a social outdoor dining experience to the event.
Making Adventure Accessible to Everyone
Dacia's involvement follows its support of the Kendal Mountain 2026 UK Tour earlier this year, which brought inspirational adventure films and stories to audiences across the country.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to making outdoor experiences more accessible and encouraging people to embrace adventure, regardless of their experience or background.
Dacia's approach to practical, affordable and versatile vehicles fits naturally with the festival's celebration of exploration and outdoor lifestyles.
The brand's philosophy of providing "everything you need, nothing you don't" will be at the heart of its presence at Kendal, demonstrating how adventure can be enjoyed without unnecessary expense or complexity.
A Celebration of Outdoor Culture
First established in 1980 as a two-day climbing film event, Kendal Mountain Festival has grown into an internationally recognised gathering for adventurers, filmmakers, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
Today, the festival attracts some of the biggest names in outdoor exploration, alongside thousands of visitors keen to discover new experiences and hear extraordinary stories.
With its combination of film screenings, guest appearances and hands-on activities, Dacia's debut promises to add another dimension to this year's programme.
Kendal Mountain Festival 2026 takes place from 19–22 November.
