Alpine A110 Named ‘Best Used Sports Car’ at the Auto Express Used Car Awards 2026

The Alpine A110 has been named ‘Best Used Sports Car’ at the Auto Express Used Car Awards 2026, recognising its outstanding handling, lightweight construction and engaging driving experience.

Since its introduction in 2017, the A110 has earned a reputation for putting driving pleasure first. Its lightweight aluminium construction, mid-mounted 1.8-litre turbocharged engine and agile handling have helped it stand out in the sports car market.

Richard Ingram, Deputy Editor at Auto Express, praised the A110 for its satisfying driving experience and impressive performance, despite weighing just over a tonne.

A Modern Classic

The latest award comes at a significant moment for Alpine, as production of the second-generation A110 concluded in July 2026 at the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé in France. A total of 28,701 examples were built since the model's launch in 2017.

Combining distinctive design with precision engineering and exceptional agility, the A110 has established itself as a modern classic and one of the most celebrated enthusiast sports cars of its generation.

Nic Burnside, Alpine Brand Director for the UK, said the award demonstrates how highly the A110 continues to be regarded, with its combination of lightness, agility and driving pleasure remaining as compelling as ever.

The Future of Alpine Performance

While production of the current generation has ended, the A110 story is far from over. Alpine is developing an all-electric third-generation model, built around its new Alpine Performance Platform (APP).

The upcoming model aims to carry forward the principles that have defined the A110 for more than 60 years, combining lightness, agility and driver engagement with a new era of electric performance.

As Alpine looks to the future, this latest award celebrates the lasting appeal of a sports car that continues to put the joy of driving at the heart of everything it does.
