Alpine Accelerates Growth

Alpine Accelerates Growth with Expanded Range and New Performance Platform
Alpine is continuing its global expansion as part of the Renault Group futuREady strategy, strengthening its product line-up and investing in the next generation of high-performance electric sports cars.
The French premium sports brand has enjoyed remarkable momentum in recent years, recording triple-digit growth and surpassing 10,000 vehicle registrations for the first time in its history, with 10,970 vehicles sold last year. Building on this success, Alpine is now focusing on expanding its product portfolio, advancing electric performance technology and growing its global retail network.
Today, the Alpine range includes three distinctive models:
Alpine A110 – the iconic lightweight sports car
Alpine A290 – the brand’s exciting new hot hatch
Alpine A390 – a performance-focused fastback model
Together these vehicles represent Alpine’s vision for the future: high-performance cars that blend electrification, lightweight engineering and driver engagement.
A New Era of Electric Performance
A key milestone in Alpine’s future development is the introduction of the Alpine Performance Platform (APP) — a groundbreaking architecture designed specifically for high-performance electric sports cars.
This advanced platform will underpin Alpine’s first fully electric sports car, enabling the brand to develop a range of body styles including coupé, spider and 2+2 models while maintaining the driving dynamics and lightweight philosophy that define Alpine.
The APP platform has been engineered to address the core challenges of electric sports car development, including weight management, chassis balance and high-performance electrification.
Key technical highlights include:
Lightweight advanced aluminium architecture for agility and responsiveness
High-strength bonded and riveted construction for stiffness and durability
800-volt cell-to-pack battery technology for improved energy density and faster charging
A new rear dual e-motor 3-in-1 e-axle delivering exceptional torque and ultra-fast response
Fully aluminium suspension systems combined with new integrated braking and steering technology
At the heart of the platform is the Alpine Dynamic Model (ADM) ECU, a high-tech control system that manages everything from battery performance and electric motors to braking, steering and active aerodynamics.
To further enhance driver engagement, Alpine is introducing Alpine Active Torque Vectoring (AATV), capable of adjusting torque distribution between wheels every 10 milliseconds, delivering exceptional cornering precision and dynamic control.
The Next Generation of Alpine A110
The next generation of the legendary Alpine A110 will be built on the new Alpine Performance Platform and manufactured at the historic Manufacture Alpine site in Dieppe, France.
This factory, founded by Alpine’s visionary creator Jean Rédélé, has been the spiritual home of Alpine since the brand’s origins. Continuing production of the next-generation A110 in Dieppe ensures that Alpine’s heritage, craftsmanship and engineering expertise remain central to the brand’s future.
The new model aims to remain true to the A110’s core philosophy while embracing cutting-edge electric performance technology — with Alpine targeting performance levels capable of outperforming many of today’s combustion-engine sports cars.
Alpine’s Vision for the Future
Alpine’s ambition is clear: to become the world’s leading French sports speciality brand, delivering exceptional driver’s cars for the electric era.
Philippe Krief, CEO of Alpine, explains:
“Our ambition is to become the leading French sports speciality brand in the world, offering the best driver’s cars of the EV era. We will do this by constantly embracing new technologies and bonding them with Alpine's DNA.”
With a rapidly expanding product range, innovative electric performance technology and a growing global presence, Alpine
